What will Utrecht look like in 100 years? It will be different for everyone, depending on whether you are a local, born and raised, live or work here. An ideal image of Utrecht in 100 years is personal for everyone.
In 2022 the city of Utrecht will celebrate its 900th anniversary. We were allowed to dream, idealize & visualize what Utrecht would be like when the city turns 1000 years old. With the goal that we may show our results in the Central Museum in Utrecht for the exhibition ‘Utrecht in 100 years’.
We approached this project as follows. First we asked the people of Utrecht what should not disappear and what is needed in the next 100 years. To show the results of this research in a fun and museum worthy way we designed a game.
With this game visitors can decide for themselves what should remain in the city and what should not. With this game visitors can use questions to make a projection of what their city Utrecht will look like in 100 years.
